Welcome. This is my story...
Welcome. This is my story...
My curiosity for design started when I was 17 years old;
I discovered that behind objects there is a designer, who combines creativity, ergonomics, technologies and aesthetic values in new, more useful and communicative items, improving people's life.
I decided that this would be my job.
After having graduated with honors in Industrial Design I founded my own studio.
I was selected to exhibit at Salone Satellite during Salone del Mobile in Milan, obtaining a great success by audience and international press.
I participated in other international exhibitions too with a selection of lamps, accessories and furniture's prototypes that make a dynamic and personal relation between consumer and space.
My prototypes were designed to satisfy a need, or as a result of a research about technical, functional and aesthetic features of a material.
Italian design story is tied to artisans laboratories.
In my opinion, future is artisan, therefore I started to work on a little collection of items made of wood, ceramics and glass trying to found the ancient relation between designer and local artisan.
My first items exposed here are some original illustrations, inspired by the most famous lamp designs, symbols of Italian design in the world. These lamps, always inspiring, are like a spark that resist across the times, trends and people.
I worked on this collection trying to tell the story behind every lamp, hands that drawn and hands that made them.
Since 2010 I have written about design, architecture, interiors, art, fashion and decoration in my own blog.
That's all!
Thank you for reading,
Adele
