"Follow Your Bliss" - Joseph Campbell
Matt Pecson creates contemporary pop art, custom paintings and portraits, and is now offering framed art prints. His unconventional style, coupled with use of color, offers a unique perspective for viewers. The artist's vibrant pop works are created in a style that fuses abstraction with realism and features some of the world's most fascinating icons. Pecson paints using acrylics, oils, and spray paint, employing painterly techniques and textures that "move the eye" on paper, canvas, wood, or fabric.
Matt studied fine art at Mount St. Mary’s College in Maryland, with additional studies at the Corcoran School of Art and Design. Matt returned to painting after a 20 year hiatus. He spent most of his career working in printing and graphic design. Matt spent most of his life in the Washington DC area, but now lives and works in Sarasota, Florida.
