My daughter-in-law and I had plans to open an Etsy shop years ago when Etsy was still new. She backed out on our plan because my son didn't feel it was a worthwhile venture. A few years went by and I still had the desire to open a shop, especially with retirement nearing. I took some of my tax refund money and invested in supplies. I began making jewelry, and with the help of my daughter, Meredith, started listing away. I was selling jewelry and supplies on one shop, then separated them into two shops, and now sell jewelry supplies on this shop and on my other shop vintage items and will soon be offering handmade, recycled and upcycled merchandise.
