A bit about me...

Welcome to my little nook on etsy! I am Kyleen--a PROUD Texas gal through and through. I am mom to a darling little girl and 2 sphynx (ie. naked cats), Jack & Tori. I love God, my family, my friends, and my life. My parents are still happily married to each other 40 years later. I grew up with lots of love, I am surrounded by love, but I sometimes feel lonely. Creating is my outlet, my place of solace, where I can explore, broaden my horizons, and play. I’ve been a hobby junkie for about as long as I remember…drifting from one thing the next, but not necessarily leaving the past behind. Each hobby has had its time and season in my life.

I simply adore creating things, pretty things, things that I am proud to give, to wear, to use in my home. As the years pass, there is one common thread that has been a part of many of my creative adventures—jewelry! I LOVE jewelry, fashion, adornments to a person, a home, an object. I appreciate simple things, and truly believe that so many times “less IS more.”

All that said, I find great pleasure taking something simple, and adding that little somethin’ somethin’ to give it personality, to establish its individuality, to feature it as unique. So, when I stumbled on the art of metal stamping by seeing a piece of personalized jewelry, I just HAD to figure out how to do that myself! I LOVE gifts that “mean” something, a gift that displays that careful thought and consideration went into it by the giver (most likely a person close to my heart).

Life can be so hectic that I find myself “throwing a gift together” just buying something because I “need a birthday gift” for so-and-so. Although, at one time or other, we all may have been here, when I am in this place, I am most dissatisfied. My heart is happy when I give special people in my life gifts that are intentional. When I stop and breathe and explore the my world, many times, I end up with an idea, inspired by the beauty & serenity of all that surrounds me. What better way to bless someone than with a piece of handmade art, personalized with words, names, a scripture, an encouraging phrase symbolizing the giver’s relationship with that special someone or where that special person “is” in his or her life. The possibilities are endless and are only bound by mind of the creator.

Thus my endeavor into this wonderful world of fun, quirky, personalized, pieces of “art with a statement” began. Thanks for stopping by and browsing, and if you read this whole thing, congratulations, you are probably my mom! LOL!
