4 out of 5 stars4.5 stars was not an option. Really like the look of this item and glad I purchased. The edges/hem on the towel was a little loose, but otherwise a very pretty piece.

5 out of 5 starsI am quite pleased with my tea towels. The fabric is top quality, and the "four-and-twenty blackbirds" design is quite clever!

5 out of 5 starsGreat quality with clear graphics. This looks so nice in my kitchen! Had an issue with the shipping (not the seller's fault!) and she took care of it right away. Wonderful experience.

Me and my daughter at the HVNY Team's 2012 Holiday Craft Show. photo credit: Etsy
I love dreaming something up in my head and making it come to life.
My mom taught me how to sew when I was a little kid. One of my first projects was a denim dress with daisy trim (my mom did most of the sewing and I provided the art direction). Fast forward 18 years and applying to colleges. I wanted to go to art school, but didn't have the confidence and felt like I needed to get a degree in something useful so I got a teaching degree.
In 2003 at the age of 23 I quit my first teaching job, packed my bags and moved to NYC. I must thank my boyfriend at the time for breaking up with me and giving me a reason to escape.
When I moved to NYC I started sewing vinyl tote bags and selling them at street markets. Tote bags turned into my screen printed sloucho bags, which eventually turned into tees and pillows and tea towels. I taught myself website design so I could sell online, which I successfully did for years. As Etsy grew it made more sense for me to lean on my Etsy shop for online sales and focus my time on making and designing, rather than coding "buy now" buttons.

I've been selling on Etsy since 2006, but making things since forever. I'm a mom to a baby girl and wife to a stay-at-home dad who also helps out with shipping orders. We also share our home with Maine Coon cat named Mr. Paws and a dog named Lily.

The images you see printed on pillows and bags were designed by me and screen printed on my manual press here in my home studio. Pillows and bags are sewn by me on my much loved Kenmore sewing machine. Button packs and all packaging are also designed by...me!
