This tutorial was created by me, using my own designs and process. I have been teaching polymer clay techniques for over 10 years, and this is one of my fun workshops, put into a PDF format so that everyone can create their own Polymer Clay Humbug beads, and make them up into fun jewellery pieces.

In this tutorial I cover the following:
1. Making the Humbugs from Polymer Clay.
2. How to use the Humbugs to make some jewellery pieces, necklace, bracelet and earrings.
3. Full instructions on how to use seed beads to create a simple design to add to the Humbugs to make a fun necklace.

This is a fun and easy tutorial, very suitable for beginners with Polymer Clay and beadwork, although those more experienced will also have fun with it too.

The tutorial takes you step by step through the process, over 11 pages, with 25 photos of the individual stages. There is also a link to my video on conditioning clay, for anyone new to that element of the process.

You can make these Humbug beads out of any brand of Polymer Clay, and in any colour combination of your choice.

Yes to both question. The Polymer Clay canes, once warmed, as per the instructions they arrive to you with, can be fitted around blank pen barrels. Once baked, according to the Manufacturer's instructions, They can either be sanded and polished, or, if you are an experienced Lathe user, turned on a lathe. I try to ensure that all my tutorials, unless I express otherwise, are suitable for beginners upwards. I include in one of the PDF Downloads tips and instructions for beginners on the basics of working with Polymer Clay. I hope that these will be sufficient to tell you all you need to know, but suggest that you contact me if you need to know anything else specific to the tutorial you have purchased.

There are many used for unbaked canes. Normally, after warming them gently with body heat for a bout 20 minutes, people take thin slices from the cane to lay together to form patterns.
