Hand Printed Fabrics, Homewares and Wall Art

I’ve had a long fascination with fabrics and surface pattern design ever since I was a little girl staring at my flowery curtains looking for the repeat pattern!

I love the process of hand printing my own fabrics and turning them into objects for the home which are not only attractive but have a practical use too.

I started with a couple of designs based on flowers growing in my garden which I used to make cushions and gradually I’ve added more products to this range, sticking to a monochrome palette and adding colour and interest with a variety of techniques. I sketch things out quite roughly to begin with until I’m happy with the idea ,sometimes drawing it to size to see if it works.; once I’m 100% satisfied I’ll prepare the artwork for making the screens and there’s no going back then. I’ve always loved mid 20th century design and bold graphic prints of that time like the work of Edward Bawden and early Marimekko designs and although I acknowledge this influence, I don’t slavishly want to copy the style.

Living in the countryside means that nature is a recurring theme in my work but I love mixing that up with abstract, geometric elements for a contrast.

I also have a Spoonflower shop where you can see and buy fabrics by the metre designed by me - click on the "shop/website" link below.

Shop policies

EU ORDERS - due to Brexit your order might incur some extra charges on arrival (orders under €22 are OK) Information relating to custom duties are very hard to understand so I can't be more specific.

DELIVERY INFO - please choose to have your parcel left in a safe place or leave a note with instructions to leave your delivery somewhere safe. Where possible I will use cardboard or paper to wrap your item and I will adhere to strict a hygiene practise.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my shop and find something you like for your home.
All fabrics are hand screen printed by me at my home in Scotland. Due to the nature of hand prints, there may be slight variations between prints; also as I add colour by hand no two will be exactly the same and there may vary slightly from the photograph you see in the shop.
I use water based inks onto light/medium weight cotton or linen/cotton and prints are heat set. I recommend items to be hand washed in lukewarm water (or gently spot clean any marks); alternatively they can be dry cleaned. Press using a hot iron with steam if appropriate
