Is it allowed to bring traffic to your own website via etsy? I've seen many sellers doing it, confused.
happy selling!

I believe if you are not selling the same thing on your website it's o.k.

I have my website add on a few of my photo's, only because I already had them on some of them and never thought to remove it. However I currently don't have my own store so it links back to etsy anyway. If I get a store of my own then I'd guess I'd have to take it off.

You can link to your web page, only if you do not sell the same items there. If you have the same items for sale on your web page and in your etsy shop, it is not permitted to link to it.

From the Do's and Don'ts:
"You may not use Etsy to direct shoppers to another online selling venue to purchase the same items as listed in your Etsy shop, as this may constitute fee avoidance. This includes posting links/URLs or providing information sufficient to locate the other online venue(s)."

... I do not think that you can link your pic to an outside shop but what you can do is put the link in your profile or announcement ... hopes that helps...

only if the same items are not being sold on the web page.

I use Etsy as my on-line selling venue. While I include my website (and FB and Twitter refs) in my shop announcement, I re-direct all online sales to Etsy. Saves a ton of PCI-DSS issues.
