Welcome to my shop!

I am an artist and teacher who works in a small rural community in the state of South Dakota. I opened my Etsy shop in 2009 as a way to share my work with a larger audience and to connect with others interested in artist's books and miniatures. I have met many talented, generous and kind people through my shop.

I have created artist books for about 15 years. As a printmaker, designer and papermaker it was a natural fit. My books are mostly miniatures and open out to form 3d sculptures with folds, pop-ups, flaps and words. My work features relief prints that I carve and print on my etching press in my home studio. I strive to create work that conveys hope and encouragement.

A few years back, I discovered in my workshops, that people wanted to continue to use what they learned to make books at home. I began to test out directions and templates with generous friends and customers to create DIY downloadable patterns for my books. I strive to develop patterns that are easy to follow and fun and relaxing to put together. We all have our stories and artist books are a great way to tell them! For that reason, many of my book patterns include a blank template so you can create your own artist book. I hope you enjoy!
