While often used interchangeably, a pentagram is a five-pointed star and a pentacle is a five-pointed star with a circle around it. Within contemporary earth-based faiths like Wicca and Neopaganism, the pentagram represents the four elemental forces of earth, air, fire, and water, with spirit reigning supreme, symbolizing the concept of "mind over matter." When encircled, the star becomes a pentacle, symbolizing infinity, the cyclical nature of life, and the interconnection of all five elements. (I wear Medium and the Medium in this tank fits me comfortably, even after many washes.) If you prefer a wider, more flowy fit (for yoga or dancing), I recommend that you size up.
