Great quality felt and held up through multiple parties, even in rain. Great looking. Many compliments. My 5-year-old daughter seems to be at the max age for fitting into these wings.

About

Long Live The Tree House Kid!!

What can I say about The Tree House Kid?...It combines my love of my kids, eco-conscious products, imaginative play, and medieval folklore into one big whirlwind of color!
I have had more fun with this product line, from designing to modeling it with the kids while we take destination photos, I have enjoyed the whole process, and it has been a huge learning opportunity for me.

My Mom is my ever steady side kick who makes all of the fleece hats and helmets, helps sew capes and anything else that needs an extra set of hands. Working with her through this has been a great bonding experience. My husband, Josh, makes all of the wooden swords and daggers out of reclaimed urban wood. He mills it down and makes them from scratch in small batches as they are needed.

So what else would a person want to know?...
We love to go for family bike rides, to the beach and pool, horseback riding, and to have impromtu dance parties or puppet performances in the living room. We also love nice, relaxing, soul-replenishing days at home with the fans on, the windows open, the music playing, and the kids at our feet building legos. We love to garden in the spring and summer and dream of one day ditching city life for a quiet place in the woods where the frogs chirp at night. That's the dream I hold onto during those 3am mornings, when I am still sewing capes during the busy season! :)

Also, I would just like to add that I am always looking for new opportunities to use eco-responsible materials, non GMO foods, recycled, and locally made items, and self-made, non-toxic household products. I take it very seriously and research materials before I buy them. I look for natural products, made in the USA for our own home use as well. For whatever it was worth, I just thought I would share that too :) I try to live what I preach, which is environmental responsibility. All the profits made through my work help us to reach these goals.

We were featured in an Etsy blog in November 2011 http://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2011/perfect-presents-for-modern-kiddos/ Thank you Etsy Blog!
