"One eye sees, the other one feels"
I've been making jewelry for 23 years(on and off) ! Previously I taught art to different ages of children and adults as I come from a painting and sculpting background.
I keep asking myself how much part of this job I do is "art" actually..but when I see the phrase that belongs to Paul Klee, "One eye sees, the other one feels", then I convince myself that I might be a sort of artist who channeled herself in this form of creating at this period of my life.
Shaping the hard metal with soft two hands is still a miracle for me..After many stages of fabricating ( rolling down from the mill, cutting, hammering, soldering, forging, filing/sanding..and so on ) when the item come close to being completed it convinces me more that it is a "true miracle".. Especially if this piece I create is going to be a very important part and a symbol of love between two loving people.
In many of my items I like using rough stones.. I am always thrilled to see the quirkiness and beauty in those so called “ugly specimen” and rough stones. All of my rough gemstones and rough Diamonds are natural stones and ethically mined.
I can tell that I was the first seller ( if not one of the first ones) in Etsy who put rough stone samples in the listings so many customers can choose the one they like among them! Because each and every one of these rough gems are so very unique!
Thank you for supporting "truly hand-made" !
