Conversing with our seller community
For the past several years, we’ve expanded the ways we support, inspire and motivate our global community through seller communications. In 2015 we launched a revamped Seller Handbook and published more than a hundred stories throughout the year in several languages. We added a site updates section to keep sellers informed about Etsy news that may affect them, including information about product launches, events and other initiatives. We also sent the Etsy Success newsletter to more than 430,000 subscribers twice a week.

To better foster the conversation between Etsy and our seller community, we developed a variety of new programs. We created a Seller Advisory Board, which brings together a group of sellers who’ll provide input about the challenges they face as small business owners and play a key role in shaping the way future decisions are made. We launched Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter communities devoted exclusively to Etsy sellers. These communities serve as homes for an ongoing conversation, and give sellers easy access to advice, inspiration, news, and one another. On YouTube, for instance, sellers can now tune in to regular Fireside Chat videos where Etsy employees respond to questions submitted by sellers. And our new podcasts give sellers a closer look at how we create tools and services for them.
Each month we publish Etsy Community News on the Seller Handbook to keep sellers up to date on product launches, educational opportunities and other ways to get involved in our community. In 2015, we also began publishing "What’s New on Etsy" in the forums every Monday morning to give sellers another way to stay informed.
